Head of Section Notices
A warm welcome to the Primary Section of Goroka Grammar School, whether you are a continuing family, or you’re new to our school. We anticipate many positive happenings in this new decade of learning. We are now into midterm and have over 350 students, all settled in their new class routines. We aim to provide a safe and a happy learning environment for our students and we hope they enjoy their educational stay with us. Thank you for choosing Goroka Grammar School.
Classes
Since we are past the normal class size numbers for Kindergarten, Preparatory and Grade 3 classes, we will be having the grades split into two separate classes. The split of classes is solely to have a good teacher student ratio.
Staffing
We now welcome Ms. Jennifer Taomba, our new Kindergarten teacher, who will be teaming up with Mrs. Tambua. Also welcome Ms. Michelle Arre, our new Preparatory teacher. We also have a new Teacher Assistant who will assist Ms Arre in the extra preparatory class.
SRC
Our Primary School Student Representative Council induction assembly has been postponed to beginning of term 2. The following students are intending candidates for the Junior School Captain;

Coffee evening
We had the first Coffee Evening in Week 3 of this term. There was a good turn up of parents, guardians and friends despite the very cold and wet weather. Thank you for coming along.
Uniforms
The ELC uniforms are yet to arrive. We apologise for the long wait. In the meantime, we encourage our students to come dressed appropriately and with neatly combed hair.
Assembly
Next week’s assembly will be hosted by the Grade 3 students. You are welcome to join us.
