In line with the Ministerial Directive to reopen schools, Goroka Grammar School will have a phased reopening as follows
1. Classes to resume on Monday 4 May for grades 8, 10 and 12 only (at the Primary Campus).
2. Goroka Grammar School will continue to provide online and hard copies of all lesson content for students of all grades.
3. Subject to a successful reopening of the school for the 3 examinable grades Goroka Grammar School will reopen for additional grades on the basis of the following schedule.
4. Grades 7, 9 & 11 to commence on Monday 18 May
5. All other grades to commence after Tuesday 2 June, when the State of Emergency expires.
6. Obviously, the above schedule is dependent on there being no further positive cases of Covid-19 in Eastern Highlands Province.
7. Boarding students in grades 8, 10 & 12 will be allowed to return during the weekend of Friday 1 May, but under strict hygiene and social distancing regulations. All other boarding students will only resume the weekend before their classes are scheduled. Boarding students should not travel to the school unless term 2 fees have been paid.
8. From Monday 4 May only resident teachers and essential staff will be allowed at the school.
