HOS' Message

Welcome back to the second last edition of our primary school newsletter. We are now in week 5, a busy part of the term where assessing and reporting on students’ learning are now in progress. We also have a couple of plus busy weeks ahead of us and preparations towards these happenings are already underway.

Grades 1 and 6 Graduation

The grades 1 and 6 students will be graduating in week 7 which is two weeks away from now. The graduation may be held on Friday at the Primary Campus. We will keep you informed as the day draws closer.

SRC News

There will be a primary student leaders’ meeting this week to address any pending issues as well encourage the student leaders to build on their self-esteem as young leaders.

BOOK CLUB ORDER

Scholastic book club orders are yet to arrive. Mr. Kelly is following up on the orders.

SCHOOL SPORTS

In week 9, the whole school that is both the Secondary and the Primary students will be having a fun sport program at NSI. Again, as the days approach, we will keep you informed of the happening.

STAFF RAFFLE TICKETS

We still have our staff raffle tickets going on sale for K5:00 at the school office, if anyone is interested. Hopefully they will be raffled at the end of the term at the Closing Assembly.

A TV, Washing Machine and a mountain bike are the prizes.

SCHOOL UNIFORMS

A kind reminder;

Please ensure that your child comes well dressed in their proper school uniform daily as it is a requirement of the school. Combed hair is also a must.

Many students still come to school with no neck ties, hair uncombed, torn and dirty school uniforms. Please keep us informed through their home-link books if for some reason your child can not come to school in their correct school uniform such as not wearing a school jacket.

Class Party

There will be a class party held here at school in week 9. You will be informed in detail as we draw near to the event.

Closing Assembly

The school closing assembly will be held on the 6thof December which is in week 10. The event will be held at the Primary School campus as usual and will start at 12:00 midday.

Hospital Visitation

There will be a hospital visitation in week 10 where our students visit the hospital to give presents to the sick children. This has always been a GGS tradition.

If you do have things or toys not needed anymore please kindly donate them to the school so we can give them to the needy in the hospital. Thank you for your kind hearts in advance.

With that, happy reading as well as have a safe and a happy weekend everyone.
