Nov. 22 Newsletter - Primary Campus

What’s been happening at the Primary Campus?

Student Support Centre

Our Student Support Centre continues to support children with learning difficulties in Reading, Phonics and Maths. Their specific learning needs are identified by the teachers and reported to Ms Poion who plans individual lessons according to their specific needs. We aim to have every child reading independently and comprehensively.

Student Representative Council.

We’ve also had an election for the Student Representative Council. The election was conducted by Mrs Sarim using the Preferential Voting System. Everyone enjoyed choosing their school leaders and casting the votes on ballot papers. Our election also coincided with the National Elections.

Currently the elected leaders have meetings and suggest ways to help make the school a safe and friendly environment for everyone. Mrs Sarim has been guiding the student leaders all through since the election in Term 3. All our students continuously being trained to be responsible leaders.

Weekly Assemblies.

Our Weekly Assemblies are on every Friday from 11: 15 am to 12:00 noon. It is a formal gathering where all our students have the opportunity to become hosts and gain confidence in public presentations. We are proud to say that the students are confidently demonstrate what they have learnt in their weekly lessons with their teachers in colourful performances.

We encourage students to be in proper school uniforms during the Assemblies. This is a time not to be missed.

Sport Fridays.

Our sports day every Friday are always full of fun. Students organise themselves in their teams and take part in ballgames. We have had games of soccer, basketball, soccer-basketball, running races and quick & fast ballgames like tunnel ball.

This fun filled hour of games is so rewarding for everyone both teachers and students. Our aim has always been to make sure everyone participates, is having fun and building good sportsmanship.
