The Division of Education-Eastern Highlands Province, recently released their report into examination performance for all schools that sit for the National Examinations. 

 

Of all the schools in the Province, Goroka Grammar School was clearly shown to be the top performing school in the Grade 10 National Examinations with a Mean Rating Index of 81. The second-best performing school had a Mean Rating Index of 61. This clearly demonstrates an outstanding academic performance by the students of Goroka Grammar School.

 

In the grade 12 National Examinations it is a similar story with Goroka Grammar School ranked second in the Province. Considering that other Secondary schools in the Province only accept the top academic students into grades 11 & 12, and Goroka Grammar School has an open enrolment policy, this is considered to be a remarkable achievement.
